The National Ethical Service Luncheon will be held on Saturday, June 27. We are honored to announce our speaker will be Susan Alzner from the United Nations Non-Governmental Liaison Service (UN-NGLS).
Susan Alzner has worked at UN-NGLS since 2010. Her work at UN-NGLS has included: designing and facilitating the nomination process for civil society speakers in the President of the General Assembly’s events on the post-2015 development agenda, as well as the Secretary-General’s Sustainable Energy for All Forum and 2014 Climate Summit; serving as project coordinator and lead author for the report Advancing Regional Recommendations for the Post-2015 Development Agenda: A Consultation with Civil Society; coordinating and co-authoring UN-NGLS’s policy briefs for the Open Working Group on Sustainable Development Goals; and leading civil society consultations for the Secretary-General’s High-level Panels and Groups on the Post-2015 Development Agenda, Sustainable Energy for All, Global Sustainability and Climate Finance. She co-authored the report of the Kingdom of Bhutan’s High-level Meeting on Well-Being and Happiness: Defining a New Economic Paradigm. Susan’s prior experience includes: coordinator for the Global Campaign for Climate Action (GCCA); Deputy Campaign Manager for Congressman Dennis Kucinich’s US Presidential Campaign; political project manager for musician and social activist Ani DiFranco; co-founder and director of the non-governmental organization Earth Challenge. Susan has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Yale University.
